2012-2013 Parish Council Budget

The 2012-2013 Parish Council Budget was agreed in January 2012 and came into effect on 1st April 2012. To see details of the budget figures click here.  A presentation providing an overview of the budget was given at the Parish Council meeting on 13th December 2011. It was subsequently updated with the agreed final budget decisions and can be viewed by clicking here. The budget resulted in a significant decrease in the parish council precept from £166,500 to £131,000 and a reduction in the annual council tax charge (for a band D property) from £120.15 to £93.38.

2011-2012 Parish Council Budget

Sutton Parish Council for the previous two years had opted to keep the precept at the same amount, and had used monies from the general reserve fund towards the expenditure, for the year 2011-2012 the total expenditure had been precepted for, due to a lower than expected income level at year end. The County and District Councils had not been in a position to continue giving funding to the parish council, due to the cut back via Government.
